SAFELipo is a new method of liposuction that is safe and highly effective in reshaping body contours that provide patients with smoother more natural-appearing results.

Unlike other types of liposuction, SAFELipo uses a three phase process that loosens, emulsifies and then separates out the targeted fat cells, while gently removing them. This unique process stabilizes the remaining reduced fat layer without generating heat. This protects the blood vessels, skin and other soft tissues from being damaged or destroyed.

Separation

Fat Separation is the first step of the procedure. This is where specialized tool with a power-assisted liposuction cannula is used to separate the targeted fat from each other and from their surrounding tissues without damaging the delicate supporting network while retaining the blood vessels.

Aspiration

Aspiration is the next step in this process. Aspiration is the method of suctioning out the loosened fat once it is emulsified. This step is unique to liposuction since it doesn’t require the use of a large cannula, reducing the risk of suction avulsion injuries most often seen in other forms of liposuction, like bruising, swelling and thermal scarring.

Fat Equalization

Fat equalization is the cornerstone of the SAFELipo’s process. It creates long-term results after extracting the targeted fat cells. The remaining light layer of fat that remains after aspiration, is smoothed over using specialized fat probes that smooth out the fat without utilizing suction. The remaining thin layer of subcutaneous fat is an absolute necessity for smooth, toned, and natural appearing body contouring.
